2012, Paleochora, petite ville du sud-ouest crétois, décor planté face au kafénion au nom évocateur Freedom Street. L’envie de fixer puis remodeler ces allées et venues, d’y mêler quelques touches crétoises, des animaux également, invités à la parade.
Une matinée somme toute banale ici, baignée de lumière, de joie, puis de pleurs au passage d’un cortège funéraire.

2012, Paleochora, a small town in south-west Crete, a scene set opposite the kafénion with the evocative name Freedom Street. The desire to capture and then reimagine this comings and goings, to weave in a few Cretan touches, and animals too, invited to join the parade.
All in all, it was a rather ordinary morning here, bathed in light and joy, then punctuated by tears as a funeral procession passed by.
